Privacy Policy

1. Introduction & Overview

At AbujaLive (accessible at https://abujalife.org), the privacy of our visitors and residents is of paramount importance. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information that are collected and recorded by AbujaLive and how we utilize, protect, and safeguard it.

AbujaLive operates in compliance with international privacy benchmarks including the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

2. Information We Collect

AbujaLive is designed with privacy-first principles. We do not require you to provide government identification, phone numbers, or credit card details to play. The information we process includes:

  • Gameplay Progress & Session Data: Resident name, chosen outfit color, current game location, simulated wallet balance, and energy state. This data is stored locally on your device via HTML5 Local Storage and synced to a temporary session token.
  • Log Files & Technical Telemetry: Like most modern web platforms, we utilize standard server log files that capture internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamps, referring/exit pages, and click counts. These logs are non-personally identifiable and used exclusively for server optimization.
  • Presence Telemetry: Active concurrent sessions are aggregated anonymously to calculate the live online counter (e.g., 68k online) without identifying individual players.

3. Google AdSense & DoubleClick Cookie Notice

AbujaLive partners with third-party advertising networks, primarily Google AdSense, to serve advertisements when you visit our website.

Important Google AdSense Disclosure:
• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to your website or other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
• Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you may opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

4. Web Cookies & Local Storage

AbujaLive uses essential cookies and local storage tokens to preserve your game progress between browser sessions. These cookies enable you to retain your resident avatar, career milestones, and furnished apartment without having to restart from scratch upon page reload.

You can choose to disable cookies through your individual browser options. Detailed information about cookie management with specific web browsers can be found at the browsers’ respective websites.

5. Children’s Information Protection

Protecting children while using the internet is an essential priority. AbujaLive encourages parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.

AbujaLive does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will promptly remove such information from our records.
